Curriculum vitae

His research interests focus primarily on the issues of intercultural education. In particular, he has studied and written about ethnic stereotypes and prejudices in childhood, young immigrants of the second generation, cultural mediation and conflict management, sectarianism, divisions in the urban space, interreligious and intercultural dialogue.

He has participated as a speaker at dozens of conferences / seminars in the United Kingdom, Portugal, Romania, Italy and Russia. He steadily collaborates with professors and researchers from universities in the United Kingdom, Romania, Russia and Portugal, engaging in interdisciplinary research. He has worked in the project Actions of the Lifelong Learning addressing Multicultural Education and Tolerance in Russia (ALLMEET), funded by EACEA Tempus IV.

Education

Graduated in Primary Education in 2005 and Pedagogist in 2008, in both cases at the Faculty of Education of the University of Bologna, in 2013 he obtained a PhD in Education, at the Department of Education of the University of Bologna.

Scientific activity

Since June 2014 to 2017 he has worked in the project Actions of the Lifelong Learning addressing Multicultural Education and Tolerance in Russia (ALLMEET), funded by EACEA Tempus IV.

In October and November 2011 he was visitor at the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Department of Political Science, based in Naberezhnye Chelny (Tatarstan Republic, Russia).

In April, May and June 2011 he was visiting PhD at the University of Glasgow, College of Social Science, School of Education, Research Group "Creativity, culture and faith".

Membership in scientific and editorial committees

Since spring 2011 he is member of the editorial board of the journal Ricerche di Pedagogia e Didattica. Journal of theories and research in education.

Since June 2015 he is Associate Board Member of the journal Scottish Educational Review.
