He graduated in Computer Engineering and then worked in the field of research at a Interuniversity Consortium. He is Partner Founder of Iconsulting Spa which he founded twenty years ago, a company specializing in Big Data Analytics with offices in Bologna (HQ), Milan, Rome and London.
Since 2012 he has been teaching the course “Advanced tools and methodology for performance analysis” at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Since 2011 he has been the Co-Director of the Business Intelligence & Performance Management Open Program, the Director of the Big Data module of the Master in Data Science and the Director of the Open Program in Big Data Analytics for Bologna Business School (BBS).
He is speaker at several national and international events and the creator of the Better Decisions Forum format, which focuses on the study of the decision-making process from a multi discipline perspective. He designed “Indyco”, a product for conceptual modeling of analytical information systems, which was given the prestigious international award Gartner Cool Vendor 2015 in Big Data.
His current research focuses on issues related to Decision Support Systems, Big Data Analytics and Location Intelligence.
