Federico Purri is a PhD candidate in Geological Sciences at the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences (BiGeA), University of Bologna. His research focuses on high-resolution sequence stratigraphy and 3D modelling of Quaternary successions, with particular emphasis on deltaic and paleovalley systems in the Po–Adriatic domain and on seismic characterization of the subsoil in coastal plains. After obtaining his MSc degree in Geology and Territory (curriculum “Integrated Stratigraphy for Geo-Resources”, final grade 109/110), he worked as a research fellow within the Italian Geological Mapping Programme (CARG sheets 183 & 184) and PRIN projects dedicated to Quaternary paleovalleys and Sapropel S1. He is co-author of articles in international journals and official geological maps, and is actively involved in scientific outreach initiatives and in the organization of conferences aimed at students and early-career researchers.
