RESEARCH ACTIVITY
The research activity of Dr. Federico Betti is focussed on the High Energy Physics, in particular flavour physics. Dr. Betti works, within the LHCb collaboration at CERN, on the realization of precision tests of the Standard Model of the particle physics, searching for effects due to the presence of possible new fundamental particles.
Dr. Betti is currently working on very-high precision measurements of CP violation, in particular the measurement of direct CP violation in the decays of the D0 meson in the KK and ππ final states, violation observed for the first time at LHCb, with a measurement whose Dr. Betti is lead author and of which the result has been published on the journal Physical Review Letters.
Furthermore, Dr. Betti is one of the main authors of the measurement of the branching fractions ratio R(D*), which represents a test of the so-called Lepton Universality, published on the journals Physical Review Letters and Physical Review D.
Dr. Betti is co-author of more than 200 paper and 6 conference proceedings.
