-Modern and Contemporary Chinese History
Analysis of the political, social, and cultural processes in China from the 19th century to the contemporary period, with particular attention to the role of the state, science, medicine, and technology in the construction of modern China.

-Gender History and Women’s History
Study of women’s experiences in Chinese society, focusing on their participation in public life, education, work, and volunteer activities, and on their role in redefining femininity within the historical context.

-Women’s Activism and Humanitarianism
Research on women’s engagement in relief and volunteer activities, particularly during the War of Resistance against Japan (1937–1945), analyzing how humanitarian work influenced gender representations and expanded women’s participation in the public sphere.

-Transnational and Transcultural History
Exploration of interactions between China and other regions of the world, with a focus on international collaboration networks, cultural exchanges, and the influence of foreign practices and ideas on the development of Chinese society.

-History of Volunteering and Humanitarian Organizations
Investigation of the role of institutions such as the Red Cross and other relief organizations in 20th-century China, highlighting the intersection of politics, gender, and humanitarian activities.

-Women’s Education and Training
Study of female educational policies and practices in China, particularly in the medical and healthcare fields, as tools for empowerment and social participation.

-Methodology of East and Southeast Asian Historical Studies
Critical reflection on sources, theoretical approaches, and research methodologies for the study of Asian history, with attention to gender, transnational, and intercultural perspectives.
