Fabiola Naldi is an art historian, critic, and curator. She graduated from the D.A.M.S. program at the University of Bologna with a thesis on Phenomenology of Styles, later specializing in Contemporary Art History and earning a PhD in the same field. She teaches Contemporary Art-related courses at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and Contemporary Art System for the Master’s program Curatorial Practice at IED Florence. Active as a curator since the late 1990s, she has curated solo and group exhibitions, video screenings, conferences, and interdisciplinary projects. In the early 2000s she conceived ArtTV, a video art program for the satellite channel Match Music, and in 2015 she co-curated the Pomilio Blumm Prize for Sky Arte. From 2008 to 2010 she oversaw the digitization of the MAMbo video archive and curated several projects focused on video art, public art, writing, and street art. She has served on the Board of Directors of Bologna Museums (2017–2022) and since 2023 has been a member of the Commission for Art in Public Space of the Municipality of Bologna. She is the author of numerous critical essays and publications on contemporary art.
