Education

PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology (2007), defending a thesis entitled “Effetti neuroprottettivi del sulforafane in modelli in vitro di neurodegenerazione”; master degree with honor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the University of Bologna (2003).
 
Academic career

 2021 to date she is Associate Professor (SSD BIO/14), Dept. Pharmacy and BioTechnology, University of Bologna.

2008-2020 she is Assistant Professor (SSD BIO/14) of the Faculty of Pharmacy, now Dept. Pharmacy and BioTechnology, University of Bologna.

PhD fellowship (2006-2008) at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Bologna; PhD Student (2004-2007) at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Bologna.


Teaching activity

Since 2008 she has been continuously teaching in the School of Pharmacy, Biotechnology and Motor Science.

She currently teaches Toxicology (module 2) and Pharmacovigilance for the course of Pharmacy and  Applied Toxicology (module 2) for the course of Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Scientific activity

She has participated in several national research programs, including PRIN 2010 and PRIN 2015. She is associated investigator PRIN 2017.

Visiting researcher at the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior of the University of California Irvine, in the laboratory directed by Prof. F.M. LaFerla from September 2007 to August 2008. University of Bologna, funds for basic research (from 2009).

Referee of international journals in the field of Neuropharmacology and Toxicology.

Membership of scientific and educational committees

Since 2018 she is in the Editorial Board of the Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity.

Other activities

She is a member of the Italian Society of Toxicology (SITOX) and of the Italian Society of Pharmacology (SIF). She is a Board Member of the Italian Society of Toxicology (SITOX).
