Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2021, she is an experimental physicist in the field of high-energy nuclear physics. The research interest focuses on the study of the strong interaction and particle production mechanisms. Since 2009, she has been participating in the ALICE experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (Geneva, Switzerland), exploiting heavy-ion collisions as a laboratory to study Quantum Chromodynamics at high energy density. Currently, her research is devoted to the study of light bound states of matter and antimatter, aiming at understanding their formation mechanisms. Since 2021, she is the Principal Investigator of the ERC-funded CosmicAntiNuclei project.
