I am an Economist with over 35 years of work experience of which 30 spent working internationally for the World Bank; the Asian Development; and the European Commission. I have extensive field experience, acquired in various micro and macro economics fields and worked in more than 40 countries in four regions of the world.
I have extensive managerial experience having led for eight years two of the largest country offices of the World Bank in the European and Central Asia Region (in Bucharest and in Zagreb) and four years as Program Manager in Brussels working for the MENA Region. I have vast field experience in leading operations and in developing projects and programs in the sustainable development and infrastructure sectors. I worked for the European Commission as Cabinet Member for the VP Joaquin Almunia where I was responsible for external relations/economic and monetary affairs. I have attended IFIs/G20/G7 meetings.
I have delivered trainings and numerous seminar and lectures.
I am a graduate Summa cum Laude from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bologna and I have an MA in Development Economics from the University of Sussex.
