Short Bio

Elisa Franzoni is PhD in Materials Engineering and Full Professor of Materials Science and Technology.

Since May 2021, she is Deputy Director of the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering.

Her research interests mainly concern materials for Cultural Heritage conservation and sustainable building materials. She works with companies and universities in Italy and abroad.

She is involved in national and international research projects and responsible for many projects funded by industry. She is member of RILEM, Associate Editor of Materials and Structures, member of the Executive Board of the Committee “Heritage and Regeneration” within the European Platform ECTP and member of CIRI Buildings and Constructions.

Her research activity is documented by more than 170 scientific publications (105 in Scopus, H-index 34).
