Elisa Boanini received her laurea in Chemistry from the
University of Bologna with an experimental thesis about
"Structure and stability of octacalcium phosphate: interactions
with polyacrylic acid", supervisor prof. N. Roveri.
PhD in Chemical Sciences, with a thesis
about "Biomimetic approaches to the design of new
polymeric-inorganic materials", supervisor prof. A. Bigi.
During PhD, she spent two research periods in the
group of prof. S. Mann, School of Chemistry, University of Bristol.
In 2008, 2009 and 2010 she was hosted in the
laboratory of prof. M. Epple - Institut fur Anorganische Chemie,
Universitat Duisburg-Essen, in the frame of joint Vigoni project (Italy-Germany).
In 2011 she was awarded the "Nardelli Prize" from Italian Association of Crystallography (AIC).
Since November 2012 Assistant Professor at the
University of Bologna, Department of Chemistry "Giacomo
Ciamician". Since October 2018 she is Associate Professor.
Habilitation as Full professor in 2020.
Member of Academic Board for PhD programme in Chemistry.
Delegate for the Didactic Orientation, Department of Chemistry "Ciamician"
Editorial Board Member: Heliyon (Elsevier-CellPress) from 2015 to 2020; Journal of Functional Biomaterials (MDPI) from 2019.
She is co-author of more than 110 papers on international journals
(h-index 38 - Scopus) and presented many invited lectures and communications in national and international
conferences.
