Eleonora Caramelli is assistant professor of Aesthetics at the University of Bologna and chercheuse associée/assoziierte Forscherin at the "Centre Marc Bloch", Berlin. After completing her MA (2010) at the University of Bologna, she received her PhD (2014) from the Scuola Normale Superiore. From 2016 to 2018 she worked at the University of Bologna both as research fellow and as adjunct professor. In 2015 she was post-doc Research fellow at the Institut Catholique de Toulouse (France). In 2016 she was DAAD Stipendiatin at the Freie Universität of Berlin. In 2017 she was a visiting scholar at the “Zentrum für Literatur- und Kulturforschung” of Berlin and visiting professor at the University of Valencia. Her main research area is the Aesthetics of German classical philosophy. Her main publications include three monographs: «Eredità del sensibile. La proposizione speculativa nella Fenomenologia dello spirito di Hegel» (Il Mulino, Bologna 2015); «Lo spirito del ritorno. Studi su concetto e rappresentazione in Hegel» (Il Melangolo, Genova 2016); «Hegel et le signe d’Abraham. La confrontation avec la figure d’Israël [1798-1807]» (L’Harmattan, Paris 2018).
