I am a professor in Business Economics and I teach Corporate Governance and Corporate Responsibility and Business Ethics.
My central motivation in doing research is to study of how large companies may prosper without harming the resilience of democratic institutions. My principal research interest is corporate political activity. I study the political content of corporate economic activity and how different forms of power are intertwined. This thread of investigation led me to focus on how discursive societal structures intervene in power relations.
Along these lines, I recently developed an interest in the political role played by large platforms and I am currently principal investigator of the INCA project (INcrease Corporate political responsibility and Accountability). The project is funded by the European Union within the Horizon Europe research framework. The aim of the research project is to take issue with the political influence that large digital platforms wield on the European institutions and societies.
