Eleonora Monaco is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of Bologna’s Department of Management. She began her career at Católica Porto Business School, contributing to the Research Centre in Management and Economics (CEGE).
She previously served as Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Accounting & Capital Markets at the Rozetta Institute (formerly Capital Markets CRC) in Sydney, working on corporate disclosure impact on capital markets. She also helped establish the European Capital Markets Cooperative Research Centre, acting as both researcher and liaison officer.
Eleonora has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Edinburgh, Queensland University of Technology, and the University of East Anglia.
She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Bologna Business School, Invited Assistant Professor at Católica Porto Business School, and Continental Network Officer for the British Academy of Management's Financial Management Group.
Her research focuses on financial reporting, corporate governance, and earnings quality. Eleonora serves on the Editorial Board of The International Journal of Accounting and Accounting in Europe.
