My research activity is focused on the synthesis of small peptides able to self-assemble to form supramolecular materials (gels, fibers, crystals, micelles). The formation of these materials is studied tuning different conditions and parameters.
The materials are characterised with several techniques (rheology, microscopy, x-ray) and used for different applications (pollutant removal, cell growth, crystal formation, adhesives, cosmetics).
