Keywords: Polymer-Based Nanocomposites Metal and Oxide Nanoparticles In situ synthesis of nanoparticles in polymeric matrices Fabrication of scaffolds for tissue regeneration Syntehsis of biobased additives for polymer properties modification Fabrication of composite porous materials for different technological applications

  1. Development of biopolymer-based nanocomposite materials for different applications. In particular, I used an approach that combines high porosity and in situ synthesis of functional nanoparticles for preparing materials for biomedical applications, biodegradable sensor and devices for water remediation/purification.
  2. Development of new bio-based and biodegradable additives for tuning properties of biopolymers to preserve their typical biodegradability and bioresorbability.
  3. Development of antibacterial coating for reducing infections of Titanium implants.
  4. Development of bio-based and biodegradable polymeric materials for food packaging.
  5. Development of smart devices for biological tissue regeneration using biopolymer-based materials.
  6. Development of bio-based hydrogel for producing living materials
