PhD student at the University of Bologna since November 2025, his research focuses on nuclear thermal-hydraulics and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) applied to reactor safety. Fascinated by the role of numerical simulation in understanding complex physical phenomena, he has directed his path towards the modeling of two-phase flows using two-fluid (Euler-Euler) approaches, with the aim of validating and improving the simulation tools used in the nuclear field.
He holds a Master's degree in Energy and Nuclear Engineering; as part of his thesis, he carried out research on the thermal-hydraulic simulation of the UPTF experimental facility using the CATHARE code, addressing uncertainty and sensitivity analysis and LOCA scenarios. He is currently comparing the OpenFOAM and GeN-Foam codes, driven by the belief that more accurate simulation is a key element for the safety of future reactors.
