Theses proposed by the teacher:
1) Development of an ion exchange process for the recovery of ammonium from urban wastewater, aimed at the production of fertilizers
2) Development of an adsorption process for the recovery of phosphates from urban waste water, aimed at the production of fertilizers
Both theses, of experimental nature, will include the preparation, operation and monitoring of adsorption and desorption tests for ammonium or phosphates recovery from urban wastewater. The tests, mainly conducted in continuous mode (breakthrough tests) will be conducted in a pilot plant already available in the laboratory. The experimental activity will be integrated by an activity of experimental data processing, and modeling and optimization of the process.
