Daria Armani

PhD student of the XLI cycle at the Department of Industrial Chemistry of the University of Bologna, with research topic on the development of asymmetric organocatalytic reactions for the sustainable synthesis of enantioenriched compounds. Research Fellowship granted by CIRI AGRIFOOD, with experimental work carried out in the LAMAC laboratories of DICAM UniBo (2024-2025). Her research has focused on the preparation of new flexible and active materials for use in food packaging based on sustainable polymeric materials such as food-grade and biodegradable polyesters. In the past, she has worked on the optimization of Green Chemistry processes for the synthesis of enantiopure compounds designed for the production of APIs using heterogeneous biocatalysts in flow, in collaboration with multinational companies and industrial consultancies. He conducts experimental work in national and international research projects and collaborates with several European institutions and local companies. She is the author of important scientific publications and has received awards and recognition from various organizations.
