Daria Armani

Research fellow at the Department of Civil, Chemical, Envirnomental and Materials Engineering (DICAM) of the University of Bologna since 2024, she carries out his research in the field of sustainable polymeric materials based on biodegradable polyesters. Research interests are aimed in particular at aspects related to the sustainability of processes and related innovative technologies, such as synthesis with heterogeneous biocatalysts. She currently focuses her research on the topic of the preparation of new flexible and active materials to be used in the food packaging sector. She recently worked on the optimization of processes from a Green Chemistry perspective relating to the synthesis of enantiopure compounds designated for the production of APIs, in collaboration with multinational companies and industrial consultancies. Engaged in national and international research projects, she collaborates with various European institutes and local companies. She is the author of relevant scientific publications and the holder of prizes and recognitions from various associations. Go to the Curriculum vitae
