Thesis: Guidelines and Deadlines

Students who wish to graduate under my supervision are invited to contact me by email:

  • at least 6 months before the deadline for uploading the final thesis (see the deadlines indicated on the degree programme website) in the case of a laurea triennale;
  • at least 8 months before the deadline for uploading the final thesis (see the deadlines indicated on the degree programme website) in the case of a laurea magistrale.

Thesis work and revision:

Chapters must be written in Word format (not PDF), and the revision of the thesis will take place on an ongoing basis, chapter by chapter. I will not revise thesis chapters that show serious shortcomings from an orthographic, syntactic, or lexical point of view (in such cases, I will ask that the chapter be rewritten and sent to me again). The revision process for a single chapter requires at least two weeks. Academic breaks (summer, winter, and Easter) should be taken into account. The complete thesis in its final version must be sent at least 25 days before the deadline for uploading the final thesis.

Admission to the thesis defense within the agreed timeframe depends on compliance with deadlines and on the quality of the work.

Further and more detailed instructions will be provided on an individual basis.
