Associate Professor of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine
Medical Doctor specializing in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, with a PhD in Neurophysiology.
She carries out clinical practice and research activities at the Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Unit 1, Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, Bologna.
Research interests: basic science and rehabilitation of degenerative, congenital, and acquired musculoskeletal disorders. Her research focuses on the neuromotor mechanisms underlying postural stability and proprioceptive control. She is involved in research projects investigating the use of innovative technologies in orthopaedic rehabilitation—including telerehabilitation, virtual reality, and game-based rehabilitation—to enhance continuity of care, improve patient engagement in rehabilitation programmes, and promote more equitable, sustainable, and effective access to rehabilitation services.
