PhD candidate in Public Governance, Management, and Policy at the University of Bologna. Her research focuses on the economics of education and the analysis of educational inequalities, with a particular focus on public policies aimed at reducing them. She combines quantitative and qualitative methods: on the one hand, she applies causal inference techniques (experiments, quasi-experiments, large-scale administrative data analysis); on the other, she integrates the study of regulatory sources and dialogue with the stakeholders involved.
Education
She graduated in Political, Social, and International Sciences in 2018 from the University of Bologna, with a thesis on public university funding and its effects on students. In 2022, she obtained a master's degree in Economics and Economic Policy, with a thesis on the right to education and housing policies. Since 2023, she has been a PhD student in Public Governance, Management, and Policy at the University of Bologna. She has participated in international mobility programs (Erasmus+ at Maastricht University) and advanced training courses, including the Summer School in Development Economics at the University of Verona and Monash University (2024) and the European Commission's Training on Counterfactual Impact Evaluation (2025).
Research experience and collaborations
She has collaborated as a research assistant with the University of Bologna and the European University Institute, participating in national and international research projects (including HEIDI – Higher Education Informal Diplomacy, Horizon Europe). Her activities have included the construction and analysis of administrative datasets, the design and management of surveys, the analysis of qualitative responses, and the drafting of research reports and academic papers.
Teaching activities
In 2025, she tutored the Econometric Models course in the three-year degree program in Management and Marketing at the University of Bologna.
Scientific activities
She has published articles in online journals on economics and public policy (Menabò di Etica ed Economia, lavoce.info) and contributed to the writing of book chapters at national and European level. Her research interests focus on inequalities in secondary and tertiary education and the transmission of inequalities through socio-economic norms and conditions.
Institutional activities
She was a member of the National Council of University Students (2019–2022) and a delegate of ANDISU – National Association for the Right to University Education (2020–2022). She was a member of the Department of Political and Social Sciences Council (2018).
She has also participated in various events and working groups on the right to education and educational policies.
