Cristina Li is a PhD student in Linguistics at the Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies of the University of Bologna.
Her work explores plurilingualism in the context of migration, focussing on the phenomenon of heritage languages, the relationship between linguistic autobiography and identity construction, and the role of family language policies in school-aged children’s linguistic development. So far, she has investigated these topics in the specific context of Chinese communities in Italy.
Her current research project includes the investigation of the narrative competences in school-aged Chinese-Italian bilinguals.
