Associate Professor in the disciplinary field CEAR-10/A – Drawing. She holds a degree in Civil-Architectural Engineering from the University of Bologna and a PhD in “Surveying and Representation of the Built Heritage.” She also completed postgraduate specialisations in “Architecture for Performance/Scenography” and “Monument Restoration” at the University of Genoa. Her research spans several areas of architectural drawing and representation. She works on 2D and 3D representation models of the historic city, survey methodologies for restoration and urban regeneration, digital architectural photogrammetry, and information systems for architecture. She regularly presents as a speaker at national and international conferences and has received international awards in architectural design competitions. She has participated in funded PRIN and Horizon 2020 research projects. She is currently the Leader of the Bologna Unit of the project “KNOW.it – Transition in Digital Age: KNOWing our background to refine our future” (Project code: MUR P2022WRPY5 – CUP J53D23016530001), funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU under Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Mission 4 “Education and Research”, Component 2 “From research to enterprise”, Investment 1.1, PRIN 2022 PNRR call (DD No. 1409 of 14/09/2022). She has delivered presentations at both international and national conferences. From 2006 to 2013 she served on the editorial staff of the journal “DISEGNARECON” (currently a member of its Scientific Committee). From 2013 to 2018 she was Editor-in-Chief of the Class A journal SCIRES-IT (currently a member of its Scientific Committee). Since 2025 she has been a member of the editorial board of DISEGNARE. IDEE E IMMAGINI. She is regarded as one of the leading experts on the architecture of Italian lighthouses. She has exhibited in several architecture exhibitions in Italy and abroad and has won multiple architectural competitions. She is the author of more than 200 national and international publications.
