Claudio Borghi is Professor of Medicine at the University of Bologna. Medical degree at the University of Bologna-Department of Cardiology and then at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology. Chief of the Department of Medicine of the Policlinico S.Orsola-Malpighi-Bologna. Past-President of the Italian Society of Hypertension. Head of the post-graduate medical school on Emergency Medicine. Scientific coordinator of the PhD program on Health and Technology of the University of Bologna. Member of the Executive Council of the International Society of Hypertension, European Society of Hypertension, ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Therapeutics, Writing committee for the ESC Guidelines. Author and co-author of over 490 peer-review scientific publications and many other scientific contributions (manuscripts, book chapters, monographies, e-books) in the field of hypertension, CV risk factors and drug treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
