I hold a PhD in Applied Sociology and Social Research Methodology from the University of Milano-Bicocca, with a background in cultural and social anthropology (BA and MA). My research interests lie within Science and Technology Studies, with a particular focus on ecological and agricultural issues, especially plant pathogens and invasive species. In my doctoral thesis, I examined the socio-environmental conflict triggered by the introduction and spread of the Xylella fastidiosa bacterium in the Apulia region of southern Italy.
I have worked as a research fellow on projects such as H2020-Viroplant (at the University of Milano-Bicocca) and Cariplo-BRIDGES (at CNR-IREA). I am currently a research fellow in the ENGAGE.APP project at CIRI-AGRO.
