Chiara Mattioli

Among the main lines of scientific research there is the study of the production of Etruscan-Po Valley ceramics which led to the publication of a typological Atlas of the forms of this vascular production. In this research field, she also investigated the spread of Etruscan-Po Valley ceramics in the neighboring territories, in particular in the Venetian world. She is interested and dealing with the development of ancient cities in pre-Roman Italy and Etruscan domestic architecture. She currently focuses her research on the excavation and subsequent study of the materials of major sacred areas of the Etruscan cities of Marzabotto and Spina which will be published soon.
