Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2023, her research focuses on stellar evolution and stellar populations. Her main interests include observational studies—both photometric and spectroscopic—of stars in massive systems such as globular and intermediate-age clusters, as well as metal-poor stars, with the aim of investigating chemical enrichment processes in massive stellar objects and the early stages of chemical evolution in the oldest stars.
She is involved in national and international research projects and collaborates with various scientific institutions across Europe and beyond. Author of numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, she has been invited to speak at major international conferences and research institutes, and serves as a panel member for the allocation of observing time at leading astronomical telescopes.
