CELL MELODIES II, TEATRO ALLA SCALA, MILANO, March 7th, 2019. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAeMSaYbQlE

Cell Melodies II, has been the II world premier experiment conducted by VID art|science (www.vidartscience.org). Cell Melodies II is about the issue of deciphering coherent cardiac rhythms from an Artist, harvesting those rhythms with novel wireless approaches, to have an online record of how the heart “manifests" through coherent rhythms the highest emotional involvement/participation of the Artist. The Artist who accepted to take part in the experiment was Mick Zeni, the First Dancer at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Within this experiment, the same coherent (exhibiting a sinusoidal-wave patterning) and non-coherent traces harvested from his heart were sent via Web to a distant site: our Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Stem Cell Engineering, of the "Istituto Nazionale di Biostrutture e Biosistemi (INBB), at the Innovation Accelerator of CNR, in Bologna. There, by the aid of specific actuators, the same traces have been sent to human, adipose-derived stem cells grown in vitro in a special incubator. We discovered that only the coherent rhythms of the Artist’s heart could increase favorably the stem cell growth, differentiation and metabolic activity. This may imply re-writing the interaction among the Artist and his "body-writing". This is what I call “Trans-body writing”: a form of language that talks to the innermost dynamics of our biology. Not only this: The overall narrative will become a way of Re-Thinking the interaction with the Audience: They become Explorers of the Artists’ feelings and viceversa!
