Current Position
External collaborator for the “Second-Level University Master in Building Information Modeling – BIM Manager, focusing on digital applications in Building Engineering and Architecture, for the design, construction, and management of new or existing buildings,” at the Department of Energy, Systems, Territory, and Construction Engineering, University of Pisa.
His research activity focuses on the core areas of the Technical Architecture scientific-disciplinary sector (CEAR-08/A), particularly the renovation of residential buildings from the second half of the twentieth century and the application of Circular Economy principles to the building process. His research activity concerns the field of technological and performance-oriented architectural design, through energy simulations (Steady-state and dynamic), environmental impact assessments (LCA), and economic evaluations (LCC).
Teaching and Research Activities
Starting from 2023/2024, serve as Adjunct Professor for the didactic module of Technical Architecture in the integrated course Product-Service Design Laboratory for the Master's Degree program in Advanced Design and the didactic module of Building Design in the integrated course Sustainable Building Design Workshop I.C. for the Master's Degree program in Building Engineering and Architecture.
2025 - Fellowship as Academic Visitor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb (Croatia). Coordinator: Prof. Mislav Stepinac.
From 2024 to 2025, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences of the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, working on topics related to the renovation of existing buildings and the sustainable design of new settlements.
Furthermore, since 2019/2020, has participated as a Teaching Tutor for courses related to SSD ICAR10 in the bachelor's degree in Architecture-Engineering (Technical Architecture T-1) and Civil Engineering (Technical Architecture T), and master's degree in Building Engineering and Architecture (Technical Architecture, Building Technologies).
Co-supervisor of over ten master theses and, since 2020, an expert member of the II Commission for the examination for the professional qualification as an Engineer.
Education
Ph.D. in Architecture and Design Culture, 35th cycle, at the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna (2019-2023), with a research titled: "The Housing in the Age of the Circular Economy. New paradigms for the regeneration of suburbs." Evaluation: Excellent cum laude.
Visiting Ph.D. Student at the Institute of Architecture and Technology at the Royal Danish Academy - Architecture, Design, Conservation in Copenhagen (Denmark), from January 2022 to September 2022.
Graduated in Building Engineering and Architecture from the School of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Bologna in March 2019. Thesis: "The Development of Residential Buildings in Bologna between the two World Wars (1920-1940)." Evaluation: 110/110 cum laude.

He practices as a freelance engineer, with predominant expertise in the energy, environmental impact assessment, and thermomechanical fields.
Awards
Honorable Mention in the call “ARTEC Premio DottorATi 2024 – PhD Thesis Award, 3rd Edition”, organized by Ar.Tec. – Scientific Association for the Development of Architecture-Technology Relations. The award recognizes research themes addressed in the PhD thesis in ICAR/10, titled: “Residential Building in the Era of the Circular Economy: Models and Paradigms for the Regeneration of Urban Peripheries”.
