Nell'ambito del corso "Protocols and architectures for space networks", alle ore 16 di martedì 9 dicembre 2025, Samo Grasic, uno dei maggiori esperti di reti DTN, sia terrestri che interplanetarie, terrà una lezione/seminario, dal titolo:
Lessons from the Arctic: Building Toward a Global DTN Backbone
La lezione si terrà come di consueto nell'aula 4.2, con il relatore connesso via Teams.

Abstract:
This talk reflects on the development and deployment of a Delay Tolerant Networking (DTN) system for reindeer tracking in northern Sweden, demonstrating how DTN can sustain communication in remote, infrastructure-sparse environments. Building on insights from this field deployment, the presentation outlines current efforts within the Interplanetary Network Special Interest Group’s Project Working Group (PWG) to design a terrestrial backbone for the future Interplanetary Internet.
