Her main competences concern: structure-property relationships in polymers, copolymers and polymer blends; thermal and mechanical characterization of polymeric systems; use of electrospinning technology to produce functional and smart nanostructured materials. In particular, her research activity spans from polymers for biomedical applications, where the technology of electrospinning is exploited to develop innovative nanostructure scaffolds for tissue engineering and drug release, to stimuli-responsive and functional polymers, including mechano-responsive materials, thermo-reversible polymeric systems and shape-memory polymers.
