Boliang Zhang

Boliang Zhang is a dual Ph.D. researcher at the University of Bologna (Automotive Engineering for Intelligent Mobility) and Macao Polytechnic University. An MIET member, his research focuses on IoT architectures, low-power sensing protocols, generative algorithms, and multi-agent reinforcement learning for intelligent mobility.

Involved in European (Horizon 2020) and FDCT-funded projects, he has authored 18 scientific papers and holds several national invention patents. He received the 2024 Macao Science and Technology Award and the 2026 Red Dot Award: Best of the Best. Alongside research, he serves as CTO and technical director across high-tech enterprises in the Greater Bay Area, leading innovation in AIoT systems and cybersecurity. Go to the Curriculum vitae
