1.Post-operative pain - Dr. Boaz Samolsky Dekel
2. chronic pain - Dr. Boaz Samolsky Dekel.
Our research group aims to study:
1. The evaluation and the treatment of the
post-operative pain
2. techniques of post-operative analgesia in specific
surgical contexts
3. The evaluation of chronic pain, neuropathic and
not, diagnostic features and proposals of therapy
Our research group proposes to study the indicated themes in
order to clarify:
1 - The prevalence of post-operative pain
2 - the appropriateness of the analgesia approaches, context
dependent, in the post-operative settings.
3 - The presence and the entity of Intense Episodic Pain
(Breakthrough pain, BTP) in cancer and non cancer chronic-pain
patients.
4 – Opioid Titration in the treatment of severe pain
5 - Dialysis treatment effects on opioid pahrmaco-kinetics and
–dynamics ) in cancer and non cancer chronic-pain patients.
6 - The Chronization of the post-operative pain and that
of non surgical origin.
7 – The neuropathic pain, pathophysiological mechanisms,
diagnosis and treatment.
In Particular we follow these lines of research:
1. validation of a questionnaire for the individualization and
quantification of BTP in cancer and non cancer chronic-pain
patients.
2. Titration of opioids in cancer and non cancer chronic-pain
patients.
3. Dialysis treatment effects on opioid pahrmaco-kinetics and
–dynamics ) in cancer and non cancer chronic-pain patients.
4. validation of a questionnaire for the individualization and
quantification of pain Chronization .
5. The use of tapentadol in the chronic pain.
