Short Bio

Beniamino Della Gala is a Research Fellow at the Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies of the University of Bologna. His research interests range from the relations between literature and political engagement in the 20th century and beyond, to the study of the role of Italian literature in the global market and the contemporary media system, shaped by the transformations of the digital revolution. He is the author of the monographs Una macchina mitologica del'68. Nanni Balestrini e il rituale della Grande Rivolta (Giorgio Pozzi, 2020) and Dopo il carnevale. Corpo e linguaggio in una trilogia comica di Sebastiano Vassalli (Pendragon, 2021). Together with Lavinia Torti, he edited Pixel. Letteratura e media digitali (Mucchi, 2021) and contributed to the essay collections La letteratura oggi. Romanzo, editoria, transmedialità (Einaudi, 2023) and La letteratura italiana dal 1895 a oggi. Una storia intermediale (Einaudi, 2025), both edited by Giuliana Benvenuti.
