Scientific activity
June 2021 - present: member of the "Planning and Regeneration" research group.
She is involved in several competitive European research projects, including Horizon Europe RescueME, on the resilience and climate adaptation of cultural landscapes, and TRIGGER, which investigates the impacts of climate change on human health.
She is also involved in the national research project PNRR QUI Val di Fiastra for the social and cultural regeneration of small villages, where she is responsible for the development and management of participatory processes with local communities in an initiative dedicated to the establishment of a Local Landscape Observatory.
She is also part of the coordination group for a project between the University of Bologna and the Bologna University Hospital for the urban regeneration of the Sant'Orsola Polyclinic area using a multidisciplinary approach.
In 2023, she was a member of the Organising Committee of the International Doctoral Conference “Leaving Nothing Behind”, organised by doctoral students from the Department of Architecture, University of Bologna, for which she is editing the proceedings as editor in a volume of the CPCL Series.
She has presented several papers as a speaker at national and international conferences, including SIU (Italian Society of Urban Planners) conferences in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, INU (National Institute of Urban Planning) study day in 2022, ECLAS (European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools) Conference in 2024, EGU (European Geoscience Union) Conference in 2024, and ATLAS (Association for Tourism and Leisure Education and Research) Conference in 2025.
In February 2025, she was invited as an expert speaker at the NextGen Heritage Conference organised by Ca' Foscari University of Venice, for the panel "Climate change and cultural heritage". In July 2025, she participated as a speaker at the INU-RER Giovani seminar "Evaluation in the process of renewing urban and territorial planning tools".
Teaching activities
February 2025 - present: Adjunct professor for the course Analysis of Urban and Territorial Systems at the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering, University of Bologna, and for the course Planning in a Changing Society - Module 1 at the Department of Architecture, University of Bologna.
February 2022 - June 2024: Teaching tutor for the courses Urban Planning Techniques with Laboratory (Department of Architecture), Territorial Planning T and Analysis of Urban and Territorial Systems (Department of Civil, Chemical and Materials Engineering).
May - June 2021: Collaboration in teaching activities for the courses in Urban Planning Techniques with Laboratory (Department of Architecture) and Territorial Planning T (Department of Civil, Chemical and Materials Engineering).
In February 2025, she was a lecturer for the first edition of the Landscape School, organised as part of the QUI Val di Fiastra project, for the teaching programme on the theme of "Archive".
In April 2025, she was a lecturer in the Resilient2risk advanced training programme promoted by DICAM - University of Bologna, for the resilient management of areas subject to natural risks, teaching a module on the role of territorial planning in relation to disaster risk management.
Professional experience
November 2021 - present: Expert member in Urban Planning CEAR-12/A in the evaluation committee for qualification as a Civil Engineer, sections A and B.
September - December 2019: Trainee apprentice as part of the Erasmus+ Traineeship programme at the Alessandro Pepe Arquitecto studio in Porto, Portugal.
