Beatrice Fraboni

BF is a Full Professor of Physics, holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Bologna, a Master in Microelectronics  from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) and a Master in Science and Technology of Semiconductors from the University of Parma. Since 2024 she is elected member of the Senate of the University of Bologna. She served as Director of the Collegio Superiore of the University of Bologna (2019-2024) and as Rector's Delegate for International Relations of the University of Bologna (2015-2019).

She is presently member of the Scientific Council of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) (2026-2030) and of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) (2022-2030). She is Editor in Chief of the International Journal "European Physics Journal plus (EPJplus)" Springer-Nature Ed. (2022-2027).

Her research activity focuses on the optoelectronic properties of organic and inorganic semiconducting materials and of advanced photonic and (bio)electronic devices. She coordinates national and international research projects, published over 250 papers in international refereed journals and holds 15 patents.
