Augusto Bianchini, since 2020, is Associate Professor in Industrial Plants at Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Bologna (Italy). Today he is responsible of the courses of Industrial Plants, Industrial Automation and Instrumentation and Laboratory of Industrial Logistic in the Course of Mechanical Engineering. Today he is CEO of Turtle srl, spin-off of University of Bologna on measurement of sustainability in industrial sectors.

He is discusser or co-discusser of around 100 master thesis in the Engineering of Industrial Mechanical Plant.

Adviser for private and public bodies on circular economy, industry 4.0, energy power plants, waste, environment, automation and safety fields.

Author of more than 100 papers on plants topics, of theoretical and experimental kind.

Member of Advisory and Programming Group (APG) within SPIRE platform (Sustainable Process Industries through Resources and Energy Efficiencies).

Post Doctoral: From 2005 till 2010 on “Engineering of multiphase flow in industrial application” and “Waste Management”

Ph.D.: From 2002 till 2004: he got the Ph. D. in the course on “Engineering of machines and energy systems” of the University of Bologna, with focus on “Hot waste-to-energy flue gas treatment using an integrated fluidised bed reactor”

Professional habilitation : 2001
