For years Professor Nogueira has been studying Business Ecosystems, containing several industries and the effect of emerging technologies. Why usually incumbent companies fails to take advantage of those and got defeated by new players, sometimes coming from adjacent industries? How can we understand today’s competitive and collaborative environment of today’s business ecosystems? How can we identify the trends and mostly important, the uncertainties that potentially would affect the industries in the next years?
Prof. Nogueira uses multiple methods in his work, ranging from historic analysis, systematic literature review, ecosystem charting and analysis, surveys, structural equation modeling and scenario planning.
