Antonio Natali was born in Casalecchio di Reno (BO) il
25/6/1950. Since 1990 he is Full Professor at the Department of
Computer Science and Engineering (DEIS) of the University of
Bologna,.
Antonio Natali is active in the filed of computer science since
Ocotber 1974, when he received, cun laude, his Laurea degree
in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bologna. His
main research interests are in programming languages, software
architectures, software enginnering and eLearning.
He has been teaching courses on Programming Languages,
Foundations of Informatics, Software Enginnering
He is co-author of more than one hundred articles, papers
and three books and has partecipated to several european projects
(Esprit and Multi Annual Projects), national projects and projects
founded by the Regione Emilia Romagna on logistics, opensource
software and eLearning to enhance the technology transfer
From 1994 since 2001 Antonio Natali was the scientific
coordinator for the University of Bologna of the national projects
Campus and CampusOne, whose aim was to provide support to the so
called "Bologna Process" model of european university
system.
From 1992 to 2010 is Chair of the Degree of Informatic
Engineering From 2001 to 2008 is Vice-Chair fo the Second
Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bologna.
He was the tutor of more than ten doctorate students in Electronics, Computer Science and Telecommunications.
In August 2008 Antonio Natali received the
IBM Faculty Award (
