Some important guidelines for students willing to write their thesis under the supervision of Prof. Fiori

1. Students interested in writing their dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Fiori are requested to have a preliminary meeting with him at least eight months before the graduation session;
2. The topic of the dissertation must be selected (and clearly presented to the Professor) by the student requesting to be supervised. In order to be taken into consideration, students are also required to provide a general abstract (about 300 words) and a concise summary (a few lines) of each chapter (generally between 3 and 4) that will compose the dissertation. Students should also identify the bibliography needed by consulting Scholar Google and other similar tools, and above all by visiting libraries;
3. Please visit the following link in order to understand how to write your bibliography: https://oxbridgehomelearning.uk/blog/how-to-write-a-bibliography/. You can freely choose the style you want to adopt, but be consistent and do not mix. However, the APA system is highly preferred;
4. Only completed and revised chapters should be submitted: orthographic, syntactic or grammatical mistakes will not be tolerated and the draft will be immediately returned (double-check everything before sending!!);
5. Graduation requests (“domanda di laurea”) will be approved only if, by that date, the candidate has submitted at least 80 percent of his/her dissertation and has received a positive feedback (submitting the most part of the dissertation a few days before the “domanda di laurea” deadline is absolutely not tolerated!!);
6. Students are free to visit the Professor during office hours and/or contact him by email. Any request of immediate response to emails will not be taken into any consideration; emails containing only attachments (without any text) will not receive any attention. Be polite in your emails!!
