Antonio Bonfitto

Assitant professor at the University of Bologna since 2002, focus his research on the systematic and biogeography of marine molluscs. The research fields are the Systematics and Biogeography of marine molluscs, in particular he currently focuses the research on the study of the some groups of gasteropod of the Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea and the Indo-Pacific region (e.g. Cerithiidae, Epitoniidae, Turridae s.l.).
He has participated in oceanographic expeditions in the Mediterranean Sea, in the Red Sea and in the Indian Ocean. He collaboates with the National Museum of Natural History in Paris in the frame of the "Turrids Factory" research project. He is an Aggregate Professor of Zoology (degree course of Biological Sciences) and of Animal Biology (degree course of Pharmacy) at the University of Bologna. Go to the Curriculum vitae
