Anthony Dion Mitzel, PhD is an adjunct professor of linguistics, language and culture. He did his graduate work at University College London (UK) with a PhD dissertation entitled “Authenticity and Ephemerality: The Memes of Transcultural Production In Italian American Culture" which focuses on the expression of Italian culture around the world. His work has been published in books and journals in Italy and the United States while his research interests includes Italian Americana, Humor Studies, Linguistics, Meme Theory and Semiotics. Dr. Mitzel is currently directing and producing the documentary film “Our Lady”.
