My research in recent years has increasingly focused on the relationship between reality and fiction. Working in the media, I have always considered both the verbal and visual dimensions. Starting from a reflection on the concept of truth in contemporary disinformation and a profound reworking of Umberto Eco's theoretical legacy, I now focus on how the concepts of "real," "authentic," and "truth" are changing thanks to the media and new technologies. This has been the focus of all my recent presentations. "Reality at Risk" (the title of one of my latest presentations) best summarizes my research questions.
