Annalisa Verza is Associate Professor of Philosophy of Law, Sociology of Law and Didactics of Law at the University of Bologna.
Her research mainly concerns the Arab origins of the sociology of power and civilisations and the comparison with other religious-based cultural traditions, the field of neutralist and multicultural liberal ethical-political theories, gender studies, and the influence of new technologies on the social and economic basis of political life.
Engaged in national research projects, Professor Verza has been a visiting scholar in Oxford at the graduate center of Balliol college, and collaborates internationally with other scholars in her fields.
She has published various monographs with prestigious national publishers such as Giuffrè, Liguori, and Franco Angeli, and international publishers such as Springer. She has edited many collective volumes and is the author of about one hundred articles published in prestigious national and international specialised journals, and in books.
