Short Bio

Associate Professor of Philosophy of Law, Sociology of Law and Didactics of Law at the University of Bologna, she teaches at the Ravenna campus.

Her research mainly concerns the field of neutralist and multicultural liberal ethical-political theories, gender studies, the influence of new technologies on the social and economic basis of political life, the Arab origins of the sociology of power and civilisations and the comparison with other religious-based cultural traditions.

Engaged in national research projects, Professor Verza has been a visiting scholar in Oxford at the graduate centre of Balliol college, has held a scholarship at Tel Aviv University, and collaborates internationally with other scholars in the field.

She has published various monographs with prestigious national publishers such as Giuffrè, Liguori, and Franco Angeli, and international publishers such as Springer. She has edited eight collective volumes, and is also the author of around eighty articles published in prestigious national and international specialised journals, and in books.
