Researcher at the University of Bologna since 2016 (type A researcher). The research interests are related to the ultrastructural aspects of enamel and dentin and to the mechanical properties of dental biomaterials and their interaction with the tooth substrate. She currently focuses her research on the analysis of interactions between hard oral tissue and biomaterials used in dental surgery.
Graduated in Dentistry in 2005 at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna. PhD in Human and Molecular Morphological Sciences at the University of Bologna in 2009.

Since 2015, she has been teaching for the Master in Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry at the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Neurosciences, University of Bologna.
Active participation in numerous national and international research programs. Since 2005, research has been characterized by important collaborations with different research laboratories of foreign universities, including research periods abroad. Reviewer of scientific articles for numerous international journals. Author of more than 100 papers with impact factors with a total impact factor of 260 and a H-index = 31 (www.scopus.com).
