Andrea Giorgetti received the Dr. Ing. degree (
summa cum laude) in electronic engineering in 1999 and the Ph.D. degree in electronic and computer engineering in 2003. He is an Associate Professor at the Dept. of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering “Guglielmo Marconi.”
In spring 2006, he was with the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, USA. Since then, he is a frequent visitor of the MIT, where he presently holds the Research Affiliate appointment. His research interests include statistical signal processing, machine learning, cognitive radio, localization, wireless sensor networks, MIMO systems, and joint communication and sensing. He has been an Editor of the IEEE Communications Letters and the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. Prof. Giorgetti was the elected Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Radio Communications Committee in 2017-2018.
