Curriculum vitae

Andrea Giorgetti received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in Electronic Engineering and the Ph. D. degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 1999 and 2003, respectively.

From 2003 to 2006 he has been with the Istituto di Elettronica e di Ingegneria dell’Informazione e delle Telecomunicazioni (IEIIT), Research Unit at Bologna of the National Research Council (CNR), working in the area of wireless communications. From 2006 to 2014, he has been an Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna. Since 2014 he is an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna. In 2018 he was awarded the national scientific qualification as Full Professor in Telecommunication.

During the spring of 2006, he was with the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, USA. Since then, he is Research Affiliate at LIDS, MIT.

His research interests include statistical signal processing, machine learning, cognitive radio, localization, ultra-wide bandwidth (UWB) systems, wireless sensor networks (WSN), MIMO systems, and joint sensing and communication. Take a look at scholar.
