He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DISI) of the University of Bologna. He served as Executive Scientific Representative (HPC scientific unit) at the Interdepartmental Center for Artificial Intelligence of the University of Bologna (ALMA-AI). He collaborates with the Bruno Kessler Foundation (DIGIS department) with the mission of managing compliance in the field of artificial intelligence.
His research interests are focused on Artificial Intelligence approaches for complex systems and novel computer paradigms, with a special attention towards power and energy-related aspects and predictive and prescriptive maintenance, especially in industrial applications and datacenters. He deals with fairness, trustworthiness, robustness, compliance in AI models.
