Short Bio

Andrea Augenti teaches Medieval archaeology at the University of Bologna since 2000. He's interested in many aspects of medieval society, among which are cities, castles, material culture. He carried out investigations in many Italian sites, and is currently in charge of the excavation of the monastery of San Severo in Classe (Ravenna). Andrea Augenti is also editor of the journal 'Archeologia Medievale' and member of the International Advisory Board of the journal 'Medieval Archaeology'. He is also member of the Council of the Società degli Archeologi Medievisti Italiani and of the Society for Medieval Archaeology. He is author of several publications, including his last books Archeologia dell'Italia medievale, Laterza, Roma-Bari 2016, and A come Archeologia, Carocci, Roma 2018. Go to the Curriculum vitae
