Andrea Augenti teaches Medieval archaeology at the University of Bologna since 2000. He carried out investigations in many Italian sites, and directed the excavations of the port and of the monastery of San Severo in Classe (Ravenna). He is currently director of the excavations in the abandoned town of Cervia Vecchia (RA). Andrea Augenti is also editor of the journal 'Archeologia Medievale', member of the
Society for Medieval Archaeology and of the
Società degli Archeologi Medievisti Italiani. He is also fellow of the
Society of Antiquaries of London. He is currently member of the Scientific Committee of the magazine 'Archeo', of the Archaeological Park of the Colosseum (Rome) and of the 'RavennAntica' Foundation. He is author of several publications, including his last books
